    Best kilt reaction

This is a question for those with more than one kilt.

Which of your kilts gets the best public reaction?

For me it's the Black Stewart - the ladies really seem to like the colors.

It has been the Black Watch for two reasons: 1) Some ladies like a man dressed in virtually all black; and, 2) I wear my badger-mask sporran with that kilt. Actually, I thought that sporran would get derision from PETA and other people; but instead, some ladies have actually petted the thing. And, when I told some women that it's also called "The swinging six," it was the source of some teasing innuendo, which I certainly didn't mind.

My Canadian military issue Black Watch gets the best reaction. It's high-waisted, has no fringe on the apron, and is exquisitely made. It has many, many deep pleats with a fairly small reveal on each, and the pleats swing magnificently.

I own another Black Watch, in acrylic, so I know it must be the construction and material, not the tartan, that gets the attention.

It's a bit of a toss-up between Isle of Skye and Weathered Gordon. The ladies seem to go for IOS and the men like the weathered colors.

I wear clothes and kilts that are in my seasonal skin tone color ranges, so they mostly say that the colors look good on me... Something like that.

I continue to feel that the best reaction to a person wearing any kilt is no reaction!

Why should there be any reaction, it's just a piece of clothing?

I get the same reaction with any of my kilts:
    Is that a kilt?
Can I feel of the material?
    Why are you wearing that?
Is there some event going on?
    Where did you get that?
What do you wear under it?
    Is it Scot or Irish?
Is'nt it cold wearing something like that on a day like this?
an on an on an on
