Nova Scotia Kilties
Greetings,
I was wondering if we have any members in Nova Scotia.
My wife and I are considering retiring there. It would be great to make some connections.
Cheers,
Rick

Hi Frank,
Greetings to you from the "Big City" (Toronto)
What is the weather like there in Dartmouth, especially in winter?
Are there other Kilties that you meet with from time to time?
Cheers,
Rick

Weather? Well I guess it's just as bad/good as you. Kilties... well as much as I dislike that term, (I know what you mean) I would say "an Army of one", as I am ex-army (Artillery), and my "brother", kilt or no, just moved away to SK.

I find that interesting. I was under the impression that the winters were rather long and miserable.
What is your impression of how folks "From Away" are treated when they move to the area?
Cheers,
Rick

Our winters are no more miserable than elsewhere in the country. It's alot more mild than some places, so the snow is always becoming slush. As for out of towners.. I would say they get treated well.
