The Joys of Kilt Wearing
Hell-o all,
The coffee upgrade while Kilted thread reminded me of one of the joys I had several years ago.
I was meeting friends at a local restaurant in another part of town. It was known for its live music for lunch.
We were seated and began to place our order when the musician (who didn't see us come in), started playing. Well between songs he started to talk and did mention that if he ever saw a guy in a Kilt while hearing him play he would buy them lunch. All eyes started to look my way, so I stood up and he saw me Kilted so I did get a free lunch out of it.
What sort of things has Kilt wearing given you?

Ha! That's awesome. I wonder why he made that comment/offer in the first place? It's not like most people just routinely talk about kilts (unlike around here, that is).

Never had a free lunch out of mine, but I do get to put my arm around a lot of pretty young lasses while they get their picture taken with the "Distinguished Kilted Gentleman" < (This was my wife when she heard the remark!)

I've gotten a couple free movie rentals out of my kilts.
But the most enjotable thing is that now, at age 39 and stocky, I get more smiles and conversations with women of my age and younger, than when I was in my 20s and fit.
go figure.
