    Shoe buckles on E-bay

I got these recently on ebay and thought they would look a bit more distinctive on my buckle brogues. What do you think? (and no "Mary-Jane" comments please)

No Mary Jane comments from me -- I think they look quite handsome! I love that look

The standard buckles are nice, too, but I think the new ones look even better!

Just a matter of taste. I prefer the plainer buckle as the shoe is highly decorated (with the pattern of holes). In either case, they look good. Enjoy them

I also got these on ebay -

but decided to use the square ones as these are a bit narrower and it saved having to cut the leather to fit. They are 6 cm. long by 3.5 cm at the widest point and 3 cm at the narrowest. The widest strap they will accommodate is 2.3 cm and the hole in the middle is 3 cm X 1.2 cm. They cost me £12 + £2 postage if you are interested.

ACtually, I like the ones you didn't use the best, but I would have made the same decision about cutting leather.

    Thanks for the pix.

Thanks Phil however like you I would rather not cut the leather on my Kilties.
