    -5 and I feel fine...

Its turned a bit chilly here in north Idaho. Yesterday and today the daytime temps are hovering near zero and it was -8 when I headed off to work this morning - KILTED. Bracing? Yes, but here's the trick... Be sure to wear your warmest wooly hose, some sturdy shoes and gloves and of course the real top secret to cold weather kilting is a nice warm hat.

Then just sit back and enjoy all the funny questions you'll be fielding!

    Cheers!

Good to know for the newly kilted. Today I have "Scottish" weather (hold your stones for a minute). The temp is 45-50 and dropping with a nice cold sideways rain/drizzle. I really with I had a real wool kilt in the closet today. These p@nts are freezing!

I agree totally with all three posts here! I nice wool hat, trench coat, wool hose and gloves, and I'm almost too warm- even when it was -18 here the last couple days! And it is never too cold for a nice heavy kilt!

I can tell a big difference in the cold between my SW 5 yard acrylic economy kilts and my SW 8 yard wool heavy duty kilts. If I wear a SW 5 yard acrylic economy and hose is is comfortable in the teens for a few minutes, but for much more than 20 minutes I would want 8 yards of wool.

Oh come off it! Please don't think the weather, here, is always as you describe. I did, I think, see the sun for a minute or two, last June!

Hey now - We had lovely sunny weather when we were in Edinburgh last May... At lest I think we did... Come to think of it, our B&B hosts kept talking about the "secret ingredient" they used in their haggis at breakfast... Hmmmmm...
