Black Stewart pleated to the stripe

I just got my KL Kilts Black Stewart yesterday -- pics to come -- and I've noticed something. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed it.

It's pleated to the stripe, and from the back, it looks like the kilt is almost entirely burgundy or red. You can't really tell there's any significant amount of black until you get all the way around the front.

Is it just the size of the sett on this particular kilt that makes it work out that way, or have other people seen this, too?
