Kiltie on National Lottery quiz show

Last night, Saturday 10th January, one of the contestants on the British National Lottery quiz show - "In It To Win It" - was a good friend of mine, Tristan, a Sales Manager at Geoffrey (Tailor) Ltd on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. He was, of course, kilted, in a traditional tartan kilt but otherwise casually dressed. Tristan is often part of Geoffrey's team which comes down to London once every five weeks or so, setting up a weekend showroom in a West End hotel.

I was not watching the show so do not know how he fared - yet! A neighbour alerted me to "a kilt Sales Manager named Tristan from Edinburgh" being on the show, in a message she left on my 'phone which I did not pick up until later in the evening! I will make a point of watching it on BBC -i Player on Sunday.

    Did anyone else catch it?

    Take care,
    Ham.

Ah, you beat me to it Ham. I was channel hopping and noticed the chap wearing his kilt and was going to applaud him on this site. Didn't watch it though as I hate those lottery shows.

By chance, I did see it, but was in a location where I could see a screen but could hear no sound. I hadn't realised the gentleman was from geoffrey tailor! ( I have recently received a new kilt from them in the Stewart of Appin tartan, very similar to Tristan's kilt).

I'll also watch the re-run, though from what I saw, dale winton was unfortunately making a 'joke' about peeking under his kilt.
Well, it was early Saturday evening TV, so one can't expect too much in the way of subtlety.

Well done to Tristan though! he looked great in his kilt!

Tristan certainly looks good in his kilt which is a Stewart tartan he says but didn't say which (not Royal, Hunting,Black or Dress).

Haven't watched the whole thing yet though to see how he ultimately did.

But he answered the "question" saying he wasn't being "a true Scot" that evening - probably a good idea given the seating arrangements!

I agree Paul, I have just taken delivery of a kilt in the muted hunting Stewart of Appin tartan (from Tristan's employer as it happens) and as far as I could tell from watching on i-player, it looks very much like it.

No, I've never bought a ticket for Camelot lottery so I've never had any cause to watch this show.

Watched it all now - lucky Tristan won £15,000 - that will buy him a few kilts, especially as Dale Winton wanted to swap his kilt for the cheque!
