I'm gonna kill the UPS driver

I've been having so much trouble with delivery services lately (See my "arg" thread in the Scotsweb section of the forum)

But this time....Oh this time I'm really #*%! off. We ordered a set of bagpipes and the UPS driver left the box in the snow in front of our driveway. If it hadn't been for my dogs barking....

Luckily it's polypenco Dunbars so hopefully there's no damage. I have to open it to see, before I open it, I'm going to call UPS and verbally abuse them though.

Well I'd be a tad upset with them too, I'd hat to be on the other side of the phone when you call.

Train the dogs to "escort" the delivery person to the proper drop off spot.

I had a similar issue with USPS. I ordered a Prince Charlie from Scotland. My rural mail carrier left the "Sorry we missed you" card. I signed it, authorizing them to leave the package at my home. The rural mail carrier took the card, left a new card.. and did not leave the package. I signed the 2nd card... same thing. I get a third card "Final notice"... same thing. Finally I get a letter saying they are going to send it back to Scotland... I called the post office and had some choice words.

That really sucks, but the only damage that will come is from rapid temperature change. If their in the snow, that's fine, just don't take them inside right away. Move them to the garage, then the basement, then the living room.

Boy am I glad we have such a great UPS driver here. He delivers to my house and where I work. It's not unusual for him to drop things off to me at work that "look important" so that they don't set out on the porch at home for the day. Hope you get some good venting done towards the UPS office about this one.
