Looking good. The kilt is riding a little low, is it designed to ride at the hips as pants are?

I have a couple of sport kilts and they can be worn at both depending on if your doing athletics or if your dressing up. I tend to wear it higher than medic if I am going out on the town then if I am doing athletics I wear it low like that.
