    Out and about on Sunday

    Yep. Another Sunday Adventure.

Went to the local Sam's Club to pick up a coupel things (literally, 2 things). Got a few looks from other shoppers. Nothing bad to report. After that, headed off to Garden Fresh Market (mostly fresh produce here, cheaper than other grocery stores).

While waiting in line at the deli, an African American lady kept staring at me, but didn't say anything. About a minute later, a married couple (30's, maybe early 40's) came to the deli. The woman had a St Patty's shirt on. Walking past me, the dude looks at the kilt and says "nice kilt, man." Then he notices the Department of Highland Security shirt and says "Highland games?" By that time i forgot what shirt i was wearing and said "Not yet, maybe next year." (Ever forget? It appened to me.)

On the way out, after i paid for my groceries the couple was in line doing the same, i gave the guy Jerry's SWK business card. I was, of course, decked out in SWK - Black Watch Kilt and sporran.

Good Sunday! On to the next one!

The Shirt comment reminds me of something I noticed when I was on my Spring break and flying out to Pittsburgh.

When I was checking in my luggage the man in front of me had a firefighter's gathering shirt that read "Pipe and Drum Corps." I had to ask if he played and he gave me a confused look and then said, "O, no, it was just the shirt I picked out today."

Didn't get to talk kilts with him as we were being shoved along the line but was an interesting little thing I just had to know, haha.

But yep, gotta love the little outings with unexpected comments.
