    Electrical fire

Working right below the 1st Infantry Division Headquarters building one is accustomed to hearing practice artillery fire for parades, etc... And then I had also heard that the FBI was going to be doing some training with the Fort Riley Military Police and bomb squad soon. So, when I heard some explosions after lunch near my building I though nothing of it. Then as I was getting ready to leave for the day I heard three loud pops, my computer turns off, a loud bang and then the lights flicker off and back on, that was not normal, so out I went to the front only to discover this drama unfolding.

I ended up having to call the fire department for the potential electrical fire and toxic smoke.

The building where the fire truck is at is where I work.

    What should we do?

While all this was happening there was a small grass fire caused be another electrical fire on the other side of our parking lot.

That type of an electrical fire creates such a mess. At least it was outside all the buildings.

Good reporting! You should send those pictures and story to the local paper.

For all those who don't know... There is a theory that all electronic devices work great until you let the smoke out. It's called "The Smoke Theory of Electronics."

Well done! Electrical fires can be nasty things.
