I think it would get me arrested. Of course, at my age, maybe no one would notice LOL!

It's fine for someone else, however it is not for me, no matter how hot it gets.

After Hamish posed for all those highland romance novel covers wearing nothing on his manly chest but a plaid (and that pinned directly to his flesh!) I fear most of us would fail to measure up to his impossibly high bar of shirtless kilted masculinity.

I'm 38 now and my 6 pack abs left about 10 years ago.....A mild gut and the beginnings man boobs have replaced it....Probably better that i leave a shirt on as to not make a spectacle of myself until i've lost all the weight I'm aiming for (35lbs so far, 40 more to go!). Now if i had that awesome art on my back instead of a couple of chinese characters (Ok...OK...It was in the 90's and EVERYONE was doing it) I might consider. Now? Um....No.

I got real excited when I saw this thread.
I am in no shape to go topless in public, and I have pale pale Irish skin.
I have no tatoos on my upper body, yet. Though when I do I might go, as you said, in private or in low key areas.
By the way, that is a fine, and might I say, huge terrapin tattoo! Nice!
Confidence comes with age I hope!

I do agree with Jamie. We have a high bar to reach.

Cool back tat, Ron... As for the subject, it works for some, but not for others... As
The addage goes for me...I have a body of a god, unfortunatley that god is Buddah... Not as lean,... So if I were to go shirtless.. It would be in the woods where the only snickering to be heard, would be from the squirrels and rabbits.... besides I have a few tattoos on my chest and back, and I would like to keep the colors from fading out.
I guess I see it as, you dress respectfully, in public, shirts must be worn.. In private,or away from the general public... To each their own.
I could see myself shirtless in the woods, away from prying eyes, I would just have to deal with the snickering squirrels.
