First Day in a Kilt... It's a whole new world!
So this is it, my first day in a kilt... I feels wonderful, my 8 yard wool masterpiece... One problem my wife is allergic to wool, so that makes things a little touchy.
I'm doing this as a test to see if I can pull it off before investing in another, non-wool kilt and how it will work in a south florida environment.
It helps that it is halloween so there is a little less pressure
All in all I'm enjoying myself!
Cheers,
David

Welcome to the world of freedom! Wool isn't necessarily a bad choice for comfort in hot places, but 8 yards of it might be a little warm, yep. You'll find lots of options, from all-cotton to poly-cotton to all-synthetic.
Kilt on!

Going kilted is always a plus, after some weekends I dread putting pants back on to go to work. Recommend you look at USA Kilts causual and semi-trad kilts, the poly-vicose works well in warm weather. Wear mine alot in summer up here in Michigan.

Aye, welcome to the society and don't reveal the secret of what's under the kilt.

welcome from Pennsylvania Dutch Country Lancaster PA Way to go on your first day! Each succeeding gets easier. You'll get to the time when you won't want to wear anything else. Keep moving forward.

Check out USA Kilts for a great and reletively inexpensive nonwool kilt. My wife and I honeymooned to Naples from Denver in June and my USAK worked out perfectly.
