    Stripe Pleating Question

Hi, folks. I had a question about pleating to the stripe. Has anyone ever pleated the clergy tartan to stripe? There are three obvious options (to gray in black, gray in blue, and grey in blue #2). In looking at them, I started to wonder if anyone had ever pleated to a color change, so that each pleat was evenly divided between two main colors? (last option shown) One downside would be that there would be no reveal in the pleats, really.

    Thanks!

I think it's usually pleated to a white (grey) stripe on blue.

    Like this.

Usually, when pleating to a stripe, you want to choose a dominant element. On the kilt that Hothir is modeling, I would choose the white/blue/white stripe as the most dominant to reduce the lawn chair effect.

I'd pick one of the white vertical stripes to pleat to.
