Kilted in Paris
Hi Lads,
Last week my wife and I took a visit to Paris/ France with our UK folding caravan "Dandy" .

We got a pit on a nice camp site at Maisons-Laffitte directly on banks of the river Seine. From there, we made our day trips by train, metro and bus.
Thousands of people around, but unfortunately no other one kilted.

Paris is a fantastic old town and highly recommendable for a weekend trip (as long as you are in Western Europe )

I was in Paris 11 years ago. I hope to return some day. I have a picture of myself standing on that promenade in front of the Tower. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Indeed! Is that German Flecktarn or the Danish pattern?

Thank you for your comments.
It's the Danish pattern and the kilt is my first self-made X-kilt. The ideal garment for strolling on a hot summer day at 86°F/30°C. (my 8 yard Black Watch PV the other day was suboptimal )
@Robert: we always enjoy ourself in France as we spend our annual vaccation at the Baie de la Somme since 2007.
Some of our fellow countrymen advised us against possible problems (to be not very welcome being German). My Kilt, however, simplifies that. I never met any antipathy against Germans in France. Far from it! Considering the auld alliance between France and Scotland, surprisingly lot of Frenchmen suddenly remembered their knowledges of English language .
We simply love that country. (BTW - France it is a paradise for dogs and dog owners!)
