I had the great fun of travelling with over 60 other pipers and drummers to Scotland in 2007.

We competed at Games the Saturday and Sunday prior to the World Pipe Band Championship, North Berwick and Bridge of Allan.

The week between we had daily practices, but also had plenty of time to attend many of the Piping Live! events, many of which we could walk to as we were staying in Glasgow.

For a piper, it's heaven on earth. Every day, Monday through Friday, there are noon concerts at the College of Piping and the National Piping Centre, afternoon concerts at the NPC, and evening events/concerts at those locations plus Todd's Bar and other sites.

One memorable concert was the "Four Nations" concert featuring a leading uilleann piper, Northumbrian piper, French piper, and Scottish piper.
