Hello from LAS VEGAS!!
I got directed to XMTS while trying to make kilts from firefighter turnouts, and I love the sight. The project is gonna be a loooong one, but the result should be rewarding!! Thanks to all who put kilt making instructions on here!!

Greetings from a Whidbey Islander now in the middle of nowhere!!
Vegas is one of my favorite places on Earth, and hopefully Uncle Sam will be sending me to Ft. Irwin right down I-15 by Barstow later this year. If not, hopefully back to Ft. Lewis, WA.
A lot of good articles, good info and good people here. You came to the right place. If you want a somewhat easier to build and more contemporary style check out Alan H's X-Kilt instructions here: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...ownload-20085/
There are also tips on RevK pleating in various threads, which I have found easier to taper when fitting it to the waist and easier to tweak the pleats a bit to lay just right.
Good luck! And welcome.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Welcome from Roseville California! I hope you find this site as helpful and entertaining as I have.
And Whidbey 78, I can honestly say that is the first time in my 52 years as a California native that I have ever heard anyone say that they hoped they were going to Barstow!
