    Fort Ticonderoga

I was not kilted for this visit, but I found lots of great Black Watch stuff there. The entire album, including non-Scottish stuff, is at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...1&l=a1d7f7fc30

Jealous, I have always wanted to see Ft. Ticonderoga. I hear there is a Tattoo there once a year. That would be sweet to visit as well.

Wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing them.

There were many Scots at Ticonderoga on both sides, all fought bravely. Arlen and I are reading the latest outlander novel together, and we recently read her account of the events. Really brings the history to life to see your pictures.

    Thumbs up

    Thanks for sharing!

A compatriot of mine, George A. Bray (F&I War historian, author and founder of Major George Bray's Company of Rogers' Rangers) was site historian of Fort Ti (or director, in truth I don't remember his exact title ). The Brigade of the American Revolution (an organization I belong to) have held some wonderful events there on site. I'd love to attend one day.

    Great Photos!

The photos bring back fond memories. In 1975 I was a member of the BAR and we reenacted Montogomery and Arnold's March on Quebec. One night we were able to camp on the grounds of Crown Point, and the next day we had a battle at Fort Ti. As a loyalist, I was able to man the walls of the fort. Wow, firing a Brown Bess from the walls was a moment that shall live in me forever.
