Hello All at last,

In response to the "PIX or it didn't happen", I have finally worked out linking a photo. I hope it sizes up.

This is my second kilt. It is eight yard knife pleated to the set. (having made other clothing with matched plaid, my friends would not accept anything else) I made it in the early aught's (o.k., i don't fully remember the date). There was a khaki duck cloth trial run before this. I used "The Art of Kiltmaking" and heartily recomend the book. I added a few pounds since making it then lost some, so the size is not exact anymore.

There was a bit of cloth leftover, which I have been experienting with a fly paid. Out of the strip between the halves of cloth, I made a scarf. From the scraps cut out of the pleats, I made flashes following the instructions from "So You're Going to Wear the Kilt"

The sporran I made using a black powder shooting bag pattern from Tandy Leather. Finn of the Morro Bay leather shop carved the roundel to a pattern I drew in my sketchbook. The idea was to be big enough for a checkbook, but those went out of use even as I was sewing. It has inner pockets for my pocketwatch, business cards and a pencil. (Hard to photograph the interior, sorry)

Also visible in the photo is a casual jacket I cut down from a tweed sportcoat which I found in a local thrift shop.
