    Kilts for Kids Day 2010

Friday 26th November is the annual Kilts for Kids Day, the nearest Friday to St. Andrews Day
Kilts for Kids Day is Scotland’s most exciting charity fundraiser. Taking place every year on the Friday closest to St Andrew’s Day this event is a chance to celebrate all things Scottish and raise money for Scotland’s leading children’s charity, CHILDREN 1ST.
'Taking part in Kilts for Kids Day is easy and fun. We have lots of ideas for you in our Fundraising Pack or you can come up with something totally different! Here are five fantastic fundraising ideas to get you thinking:

Have a Tartan Dress up Day, where everyone pays for the privilege of showing off their finest tartan
Host a Kiltaoke. Get a hold of a karaoke machine, sell tickets and give it all you’ve got!
Organise a Scottish Quiz Night. It’s all about celebrating St Andrew’s Day, so see who knows most about Scotland − for an entry fee of course
Host a Tartan Tea at Three with fancy cakes and doilies. Charge a ticket price and enjoy!
Sell a box of Kilts for Kids Day tartan heart badges, available to order here.
To get started, please download our Fundraising Pack and visit the Free Stuff page.'
I could not find their web address but all info can be googled on the web
Perhaps the X-Markers in Scotland can come up with some organised event?

    Kilts for kids Day 2010

Sorry, I was rushing out last night when I posted, so it was a bit confusing.
If anyone is interested in any of the events for this day then information can be found on the Children 1st website
    www.children1st.org.uk
Go into events, click the tartan heart and you will find out about this charity aiming to help children and their Kilts for Kids Day as well as the the Big Birl Ceilidh in Edinburgh on the eve of the event
    Hoping this is more clear
