Lower prices on L&M sporrans
Hi, gang! We've made a few changes in our sporran offerings recently.
One sad development is that we have decided to completely discontinue the Buzz Kidder range of sporrans. This was not a decision we wanted to make, because these were good sporrans for the money, and were at a great price point for those looking for an inexpensive sporran but did not want to get something cheap (and cheap looking) off of Ebay. The sporrans were great sellers for us. However, due to a repeated history of bad communication from the supplier and orders not being filled, we have made the decision to discontinue the line. We simply could not in good faith take any more orders from our customers when we had no assurance that we would be able to fill those orders. That's not fair to us or to our customers. Anyone with outstanding orders with us for a Buzz Kidder sporran has either been refunded or has a refund in process.
However, we felt it very important to have a good quality sporran available for under $100. We fully understand that not everyone is in a position to spend $200 or $300 on a sporran. Especially when someone just spent a good bit of money on a brand new kilt, it is important to also have the basic accessories without breaking the bank. But that doesn't mean one has to resort to a low-quality, cheap looking sporran.
So we have decided to take some of the basic, simple daywear styles from L&M Highland outfitters in Nova Scotia and lower the retail price. Even though we won't be making as much money on each sporran, hopefully we'll see an increase in the sale of these sporrans. But most importantly, we'll have a good looking, well made sporran to offer for under $100, which is what we really wanted to do.
So if you go to:
http://giftshop.scottishtartans.org/sporrans_econ.htm
You will no longer see the familiar Buzz Kidder sporrans listed, but instead will see a few traditional style L&M sporrans, starting at only $90.
We'll continue to keep our eyes open for good quality sporrans for under $100, and will hopefully add to this selection as time goes on. Thanks!
