    A book called "Highlander"

No, its not about the movie.

Highlander: The History of the Legendary Highland Soldier by Tim Newark

I found it on the British history shelves in Borders and Books a Million, I haven't picked it up for purchase yet. Has anyone read this or heard of it's accuracy? I'd like to know before I spend $25 on it.

I read about the author, Tim Newark, he seems to do alot of history books and has gotten alot of positive reviews. Next time I'm at the store, I'll see if I can buy it.

I would never buy a book or dvd/blu ray from Border's due to their prices.
I buy from Amazon almost exclusively.

I'm considering Amazon now as the borders I use to go to and hang out at is closing in a few days.

I bought a copy when it first came out a number of months ago, and while I've only skimmed it, it appears that Newark did a very good job in his research. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to know the history of "The Ladies from Hell". What I like is that he includes the history of not only the Highland Regiments of the British Army, but of those of Commonwealth nations, such as the Cape Town Highlanders of the Republic of South Africa.
