    Springtime in Texas

We've been enduring drought conditions for some time now in Texas, so the wildflowers this year weren't quite what they usually are. The bluebonnets, what little there were, seemed to have bloomed a bit early this year.

Nevertheless, we did manage to find a decent patch near Plantersville, so here are a couple of the annual bluebonnet photos of our Molly:

Great pictures of your daughter! I grew-up in Conroe and one of the things I really miss about Texas are the bluebonnets in the spring.

    Great pics, Shaun!

We have precisely zero bluebonnets this year out west, thanks to the drought. Even the grass is struggling to grow. It's depressing.

    Great photos, Shaun!

Shelley and I have had the same issues finding a decent field of Bluebonnets this year. There's a place along 290 between Burton and Brenham where people always stop, but we've passed by that area 3 times in the last couple months, and it was mostly brown grass. I know that at the Sherwood faire site up in Bastrop County they have not had rain in like 7 weeks.

Beautiful daughter Z. She must look like her mother, eh? With your style and smile, though.

Very nice pics Shaun. I've only found Bluebonnets in ones and twos around SA. Was out a Camp Bullis the first week of April and there were wild flowers blooming but not in the numbers usually seen.

She is absolutely precious. I have a 3 year old boy and 14 month old daughter. Children are truly a blessing to us. (Unless, of course, you're speaking of my son's actions today and then it becomes a COMPLETELY different story all together). Seriously though, beautiful photos!
