Kilted Easter in California
I have committed to posting more photos this year, so here are a few from my kilted Easter here in Northern California.
I spent the day with a friend and her family at her home near Grass Valley.
I am wearing my HOE MacMillan Hunting Modern Kilt by Kathy Lare, Lochcarron claret lambswool sweater from Country Casual UK, and my new Harris tweed contemporary jacket by Heritage of Scotland, in the Ancient Green Herringbone color. My current favorite sporran is this custom two tone hunter style from Donnie at Wyvern Leatherworks:
At the garden gate:

On her back deck with a lovely few of the surrounding foothills:

Aforementioned lovely foothills

And a couple from the inside:

And that's all folks!! Happy Easter!

Same here. The second pic is my favorite of the bunch.

Thanks Alan,
As mentioned in the OP, it is the "Contemporary Tweed Jacket" from Heritage of Scotland. I bought it during one of their 15% off store wide sales. They have a great selection of tweeds, Harris and others, at really reasonable prices. A nice option is that you can order the waistcoat and Jacket in different sizes. I ordered the waistcoat in a 46 long (my typical off the rack size) and the jacket in a 48 long, then took the jacket to my local alteration shop for a more custom fitting. At the sale price, the jacket and waistcoat were about $300 delivered (Royal Mail signed for) plus the $35 alteration cost. I'm quite happy with the whole deal!!
Thanks again.
I look forward to meeting you at the Woodland games.
Brooke
