Author of "The Art of Kiltmaking" Barb Tewksbury has been a member since 30 November. 2004 Barb is known to us on X Marks as the author of "The Art of Kiltmaking", but to the rest of the world she is Dr. Tewksbury, Geologist. She may be teaching astronauts what rocks to look for on Mars or traipsing the dunes of the desert of Egypt, but it is a good bet that somewhere in her pack is the current kilt she is working on. Imagine the bragging rights knowing that the Tewksbury kilt you wear was made in the airport at Reykjavik, Iceland. Barb says she found X Mark almost by accident. We are lucky she did as today many of our members are in debt to her for the inspiration, encouragement, advice, and kindly mentorship. It seems strange that Barb ever sits still long enough to make a kilt as she is also a mother, Professor, piper, and author. Those who own one of her kilts can proudly say "It's not just a kilt. It's a Tewksbury.". Hundreds have used "The Book" to make their own kilt and it is the prime reference for professional kiltmakers and anyone interested in knowing what goes into making a kilt. Barb T. was inducted to the Honour Roll on 15 June 2011.
