Comments About My Kilt Today
Was at a local gig today - the County Attorney's Citizen Prosecutor Academy. Its an all day gig where I was sitting so was kilted for comfort. Wore my USA Kilts semi-trad in MacLean Hunting tartan.
At first didn't have any comments, folks are used to me kilted about time. A local Scottish friend - a probation officer - started off with "Ronald, Where's your troosers." Obviously, a take off on the song.
Then a local massage therapist lady told me, "You're one of the first people I saw when I moved to town. You were at the post office kilted and when I saw you I thought there's a guy I need to get to know."
Then a criminal justice client happened to come by and said, "Lift up your dress - what's underneath it?" I responded, "The biggest c**k you've ever seen."
Then a guy said, "You don't wear that to the office do you?" I responded that yes I did, often.
Then he asked if I was Scottish - told him yes, by ancestry.
Was a great day for networking, and I was most comfortable being seated kilted for 8 hours.

Had to reread the part about the criminal justice client... For some reason I read it differently and thought that you were talking to a prosecutor and I couldn't believe your response! Good on you for having a grand Kilt Day!
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

The guy that was incredulous that I'd wear a kilt to the office was there for a presentation and he was wearing blue jeans with a way too small sportcoat that looked like it came from a thrift shop - over a grey plaid shirt with no tie. That look is sort of "Flagstaff Formal" for the city he lives in.
Think my kilt and shirt looked a lot smarter and more formal.

"Your face if you don't mind your own damned business, pal."
I liked your response.
