Keeping the cuistomer satisfied
My day job is a community manager of a gated Homeowners Association of 'active adult', i.e. have to be 55 or older to live there.
I wear my a kilt on Fridays, as a take off on casual Fridays, days of Scottish historical significance and Wednesdays when there is local Scottish Society meeting. This last Wednesday, Miss Kitty dropped by the office to see if I was kilted when she had finished her aerobics class. She was disappointed to find me in pants. I told her that I would be kilted on Friday. She expressed her disappointment as she would not be by. I told her i would be by her home to see her, which I did on my way to the office this morning. I found her outside in her garden and another resident was nearby who snapped this pic.

At day's end as I left the office, I passed Miss Jeanie who just pulled in the parking lot to go to Friday's Happy Hour. As we passed, she said with much enthusism, I love to see you in a kilt! I replied, I aim to please you ladies. Tongue in cheek she, said, I don't care what they say about you, Ern I think you are wonderful!

That was a nice thing to do Ern. Er, just what do "they" say about you?

Right, Steve!
Many times when someone gives a compliment I thank them and say keep that to yourself, I don't want to spoil my reputation. Just another tongue in cheek saying.

I say the same thing when someone tells me I'm "...a gentleman and a scholar."!

Anytime I get the "gentleman and a scholar" comment, I reply with "That's right, no matter WHAT my Mother says".
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?
