Heavy Athletics?
For those who are wondering what's up with me, it's not my weight.
I'm now down to a svelte 223 lbs and actually have a discernible waistline.
Unfortunately, in giving up the 20 lbs, I appear to have given up some strength/mass/leverage. Who knew that there was strength in that layer of subcutaneous fat? No big deal as there don't appear to be any games for me until next year due to an upcoming knee replacement surgery for Mrs. OD.
In the meantime, I'm working on building up strength to compensate for my diminished mass and coaching a group of younger throwers in the park. It's a far cry from the Loch Loomis Training Center for World Champions but someone's got to teach the next generation of highlanders, right?
