add one more to the count

today my best friend called me up asking me all sorts of questions about how to properly measure for his kilt! I was immensely excited, we had been talking about kilts ever since i began planning my up coming wedding and he finally made the jump ordering his first kilt today! So sadly i have ruined a dear friends life bringing him into such a world.... BUT.... Oh well its good to have company on this crazy train!

Now he is not of celtic heritage, so hes getting a black watch, which was also used by his scout troop. He needs to work on his lingo a bit, hopefully he will stop calling the sporran the 'scotsmans purse' but im sure he will get it all down once he gets to wear it.

i don't have a picture of us kilted together yet but i will at the end of the month i and shall share it then! and i will point him in the direction of Xmarks so he can further his kilted education.

Actually, I think it's an infectious disease.

Hopefully he joins and does some reading through the archives before he rushes out to buy too much stuff. There is a wealth of knowledge here about different styles beyond the "cookie cutter" Scottish shop look and where to get them

i'll probably skip steps 9 and 10. not much of a seamstress and I have my own eccentric taste in shoes (mine have toes).

But the 8 step program looks great.
