Ok, so my Gunn Modern from Marton Mills has been ordered through KiltRentalUSA, and even after I get it my Fiance says I have to wait till January 7th (our wedding day) to wear it!!!! (besides making sure it fits right)....ugh....

Hey Burley - Congratulation on your forthcoming Gunn Modern kilt and marriage to a very beautiful and understanding woman! Not all wives, girlfriends or fiancés get the “kilt thing.”
Remember, as quoted by Andy Warhol, “The idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting”

Thats so unfair, perrhaps your fiancee should give something up till the 7th January as a show of support and solidarity.
My ex gave up intimate relations before our wedding unfortunately it continued after the wedding hence the EX. Funnily enough she never gave up spending my money though.
Seriously, good luck with your forthcoming nuptuals I am sure that you will have a fantastic day.

This being a kilt, that could be a Bad Thing. So wear underwear just in case.

Now these words above do give you room to manoeuvre! On two counts.
Firstly its a tank, well as we all know tanks are not the usual thing to have about. Well, am I right? So, to do the wedding justice you will need to know how it works, so, in conjunction with reason two, making sure it fits in ALL situations an intensive series of, but low key(yes, yes, security must be tight) tests MUST take place. You will need to test the following:-
1. The fit----you are two pounds heavier/lighter than you were, er, yesterday/day before that/5 minutes ago------.
2. How the pleats react to wind. A North wind is, well, not the same as an East wind etc..
3. You will need to experiment with the various height combinations.
4. Practice sitting correctly (can't have any disasters on the big day!)
5. Test how the pleats react to long journeys.
6. You WILL need to know how long unwanted creases take to drop out.
And the list goes on. Of course ALL this technical information is ESSENTIAL to make the day extra special("time spent in reconnaissance is seldom wasted", and all that). All that is required is a modicum of creative thinking!
Good luck to you both.
