picture is a little bit blurry b/c of bad quality camera

My new claddagh ring finally came in the mail I felt so bad without one since I have had one since I was little. I kept losing them. Hopefully this one wont slide off my finger like the others.

Re: My new Claddagh :)
My mother and father bought my first claddagh on my first trip (that I could recollect) to ireland with them. I think I was 6 or 7. My wedding ring is a claddagh band and I have a standard one on my right hand. It's a BIG tradition in my family to wear them. All of my brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, etc...

I bought my wife this claddagh ring a few years ago.

I'm not sure if I have an opinion. I guess it would be the same as someone donning a kilt who isn't Scottish. I've met people who wear them who have no celtic lineage at all but it holds some sort of significance to them and I respect that.

Love is universal, so it shouldn't stop anyone wearing one if they're not Irish. A guy I used to work with who was from Hydrabad(?) got his Glaswegian wife one as he loved the romance of it.

Re: My new Claddagh :)
Several years back, I gave a Stirling Claddagh ring to a lady I've known for many years (since our university days), as a token of our friendship.

My wife and I have matching Claddagh wedding bands and my brother and I have matching Claddagh (inside a Celtic Cross) tattoos.

Re: My new Claddagh :)
My wife and I exchanged Claddagh rings on our engagement. Mine is now resting somewhere in the desert of 29 Palms. My second was damaged when I was attacked by a door. I've been wearing the third one for about 20 years now.
