CD release party -- Jan 6th
Asheville's own Uncle Hamish and the Hooligans will be releasing their 5th CD, entitled "Operators are Standing By" at the Highland Brewery on the evening of Januray 6th, 2011. 6-8 PM. The new CD is all original material, some of which was written by my son (MadBagPiper). It also happens that this is the day of his 21st birthday, so it certainly could be an interesting evening. (I'll be taking his keys for sure  ) I hope some of the other local XMarkers can come by for this event. The following day I could easily be persuaded to lead an afternoon hike for those so inclined. Shoot me a PM if interested.

I heard them a few years back at the Sycamore Shoals Celtic Festival and really enjoyed them...bought the first two CDs then. I'm only about 40 minutes or so from Asheville; will definitely come over if I'm able!
