Scot-Irish festival in Green lane, Pa ?
I have been told that Green Lane PA has a highland games event in the summer but everything I have found online is info & articles about it from years prior . Is there a place where I can find current info that is eluding me or is this cancelled ?

You can find information about this years event here. It's actually called "Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival" and billed as the 'largest FREE Celtic Festival in North America'. It's held in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and this year it's on September 27, 28 & 29.
On Sept. 7th is the Edinboro Highland Games in Edinboro, PA and on the weekend before the Celtic Classic, is the Ligonier Highland Games in Ligonier, PA as well as the Scottish weekend at the Maryland Renaissance Fair.
In August, the Foxberg Scottish Festival (Foxberg, PA) is on the 17th and the McLain Celtic Festival (Carlisle, PA) is on the 31st.
Also, there is the Celtic Heritage Festival in Graeme Park (Philly area) on the 20th of July.
I don't know how many of these events we will be able to attend but my wife and I are hoping to attend the Celtic Classic and possibly the Graeme Park festivals.

TR, This was cancelled a couple years back due to budget cuts. I played there a few times with a pipeband, and it was a great event, so it was too bad. It has nothing to due with the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem, PA
The last year it was held was 2010

Thank you Castledangerous for the update, I stand corrected. I had done a couple of searches and they kept coming back to celticfest.org so I thought it was the same event.
Otherwise, the information posted is correct and hopefully is of some interest to the OP.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. Very interesting thank you ! We have attended the Celtic Fling the last 2 summers & plan on going to Bethlehem for the Celtic Classic this year . The other events you speak of I had no idea about .
Thank you Castledangerous , now I'll stop frustrating myself searching for it .

Nuts, bad timing for me on this weekend's Celtic Fling.
One of these years I'll get there.
The Green Lane was my favorite - kids loved the Nessie in the lake.

It is a real shame that the Green Lane Celtic Festival was cancelled needlessly. It came down to local politics and squabbling knuckleheads vs. what was best for the county. I was there as a visitor year one and my pipe band had played there every year after that. It was great to watch a festival grow from just a few vendors to one of the largest Celtic festivals. It was amazing to sit back a see all the family’s having fun and to see people from all walks of life enjoying Celtic heritage. The best was seeing the same faces year after year.
The Celtic Classic is great fun too, awesome bands, dancers, food and drink o’plenty.
If you are out at the Celtic fling this weekend be sure to stop by and say howdy, you can’t miss me as I am the one with the fancy big stick. My band plays at the opening of the gates and again at 5:15 on the chessboard and of course will be kicking off the Ceilidh and will have you jumping out of your seats.
