Is it proper to wear a Chattan tartan and still represent my Macpherson bloodline. I am going to be purchasing both but didn't know how that works in the world of kilt wearing. Second is is proper to wear the faded,ancient or weathered look to formal occasions. The distressed look has always caught my eye but haven't been around enough people in kilts at formal occasions to notice.
