    Experimentin'

I just pulled the trigger on some Lewis Hose from the Scottish Tartans Museum. One Mustard and one Tartan Red. Given the colors in my kilt wardrobe, these colors are something of a departure for me. Most of the time, I like being matchy-matchy. I know not everyone agrees, but for the most part, it's just my style. For the first time, I have chosen colors that complement my kilts rather than matching them.

I admire many here on Xmarks who always look terrific without matching. (Jock Scot and OC Richard, I am looking at you two in particular) I'd like to expand my horizons by learning from the whole rabble and stepping beyond what I think are safe color choices.

I'll post some pics when I receive the hose.

    Wish me luck.

Edited to add: Okay, maybe they match some of my kilts a little bit, but I have enough choices to mix it up some.

Go for it, there is no bolt of lightning awaiting you! Don't be too critical of yourself, some colours will work for you and some won't, don't agonise over it, if it works great, if it doesn't move on. A bit like life really.
