Diced and Argyle Hose Sources?
Good day, everyone--
It seems the sources for full diced and argyle, made-to-measure hose are more limited these days. I'd like to match them up to the colors in my kilt. Any advice on where to shop? (I saw Scotweb listed some at $220; that's a bit steep for me. I used to see them in the $100-140 range not that long ago.)

My white and red diced hose are from House of Cheviot

I also got a pair of red and black diced hose from the Scottish Tartan Museum, but I am not sure if they are available any longer, these were made to measure and not from House of Cheviot. I would get in touch with them and see what can be done.

Custom argyle hose are probably going to cost you, I'm afraid. You might try Kilkeel Kilt Hose. Or Bonnie Toes. Or Bonnie Tartan.
I'm not familiar enough with diced hose to advise you there.

Red/Green Diced Hose
Very good quality red/green diced hose are available here for $95.00 Canadian (about $80.00 U.S) from the Cameron Highlanders Regimental Kit shop. I've often found that the Canadian Forces Kit shops have better prices than available elsewhere for certain items. The Kit shops are operated by the regimental associations and not the Canadian Forces, they sell to members of the regiment as well as the public. Prices are extremely reasonable and the items are generally the same product as those issued by the Forces. The extremely favourable U.S. to Canadian dollar makes them even more appealing!

Other regiments may offer other colours of officer's full length diced hose, you may try searching some.

I have a couple pair custom diced hose from Keltoi that are nice and not outrageously expensive. But I no longer see them offered there.

Thanks
Thanks for the input, all. I located some in the colors I wanted (green and black diced to go with my Maclean Hunting kilt), from Scottish Trading Company. They're House of Cheviot. I do miss Keltoi, and other suppliers, who I remember had all-wool, made to measure for about the same price as these pre-made blends. Ah well...

These are pretty much in line with what I recall custom hose costing.

Thanks / Looking for Green and Navy Diced Hose
Made an honest attempt at buying a pair of diced hose from House of Labhran but my grasp of currency rates was rudely shocked by PayPal and I cancelled the transaction. Glad of this thread because I couldn't even find the DIY kilt hose kits that used to be listed on XMarks. The main supplier seems to be House of Cheviot but prices are fairly astronomical with or without shipping. I just bought a fine pair of Lovat blue hose to go with my formal kilt for $35, wool but machine made, which don't match the shade of the tartan in my formal kilt as close as I'd like. How much more should it cost for diced hose, not Argyll and not castellated and not embroidered and not Merino but simply good wool with polyester mixed in for strength? Thank you for the tip about the Highland Regiment stores in Canada. I was seriously considering buying diced hose tops and spats to my look but I would rather have diced hose which, strangely enough, would complete my formal look. So let me throw it out here on this thread: I am looking for a pair of diced hose, green and navy, no other stripes passing through and with a moderate turndown, no muted colors.

You could try J. Higgins https://www.jhiggins.net/hose-diced-...-machine-knit/
While they do not have full diced hose in the colours you require, they have hose tops in green and navy for a very low price. They also have full diced hose for $60.00 in other colours.
