Tartanweb
For those following the saga of my attempted Robertson kilt with TW, know that it has finally come to a close. Scott Chalmers, owner, did agree to a refund, plus shipping. And, the money was finally received today. Scott was a man of his words when it came to the refund, but I do wish he would have followed through and gotten me a worthy kilt. But, I now move on.

So near and yet so far... Glad you got your money and expenses back though.
Best of luck in finding a suitable and affordable replacement from another source. Do let us know how you get on.
As for Tartanweb, I think they'll need to work hard to win back their lost esteem...

We do need to keep in mind that one bad transaction doesn't make a problem company. Glad everything got resolved.

Nighthawk mate, I'm fully aware of this. I've dealt with them more than once and ordered my recently aquired, Oliver Hunting Ancient from them in the midst of all this. I based my decision on my own past experience with them and as I expected, the kilt I received was perfect in every way.
What I mean by my comment is that people who haven't had dealings with them before will hesitate before pulling the trigger, based on denmcdough's runaround. It will take more than one good kilt review to fix the impression that they are not always consistant.

I'm glad you got your money back. Too bad there had to be so much time and energy wasted on it. Good luck in your search for a kiltmaker.
