TARTANWEB, 3rd Attempt
A while back, I posted some pics of my Robertson kilt made by Tartan Web. And, if you followed that thread, you know of my disappointment on receiving a kilt that was ill-made. It was sent back for redoing, and returned not much better.
Upon learning of my thread from Steve Ashton, Scott Chalmers, owner of TW got involved. And I do appreciate Scott's every effort to make things right. The new kilt was made in three days and was shipped shortly there after. I had it in my hand three days after posting. Scott, also, reimbursed my shipping charges, and included a nice sgian dubh.
TW has made every effort to support its customer, me! Not many companies would got to this length to make things right.
Enclosed are pics for your review. Comments welcome:

I'd say it's quite an improvement over the last one because the pleats appear to be hanging straight now. A bit of steam or an ironing and you're ready to rock
It's great that they went to such lengths to make amends and the sgian dubh was a very nice touch.

I'd say they've made it right, in every sense of the phrase. Congrats both to you and to TartanWeb.

I'd say it looks "OK". But to be honest not perfect... I think they've done very well with making things right. To their best. Nice to see they've gone out of their way to sort you out. But the kilt is still not perfect. Perhaps I'm being a tad harsh. I don't know?? But the sett isn't totally straight and the pleats seem to hang below the others in the middle. Just looks a bit ragged/imperfect particularly in pic #5. Maybe a good steaming/ironing would sort it out. I gotta say though that I've been following your threads and I must admit that, sadly I would not buy a kilt from them based your experience.

I love hearing a story about good customer service. It's far too rare these days.

On taking a second look, I don't think this kilt is right either. I've never had a problem with TWeb myself but I know you had a bit of a run around to put it mildly.

Definitely an improvement, but in no way perfect, if you ask me.
Taking the debate here into consideration, I should, as a vendor, deliver nothing but the very, very best I could, being given a third try and after having been exposed in the biggest kilt forum of all.
So that must be the best they can. Well, well...

Still not acceptable, in my opinion. I don't recall ever seeing a kilt, not a handsewn kilt, not a machinesewn kilt, that had the pleats hanging irregularly like that.
