Never with good scotch, however. That would be a sin of it's own.

Sexual assult to me is a forceable deal, not a quick pat on the ****. I don't put a pat on the **** or a boob brush by or someone lifting some pleats as sexual assult. Sorry, I just don't. Our "polite society" has gotten far too thin skinned at what is called abuse these days.

Yes, women get **** grabbed a boob brush or poke, etc, etc, etc all the time. Concerts, subways, trains, buses, elevators, crowded anywhere. Yup, happens all of the time.
Then there's the guys that do it on the sly. Had a dude at church that always had his hands too low while hugging, another would always go for a hug, and do a double boob pass on the way 'round. Both older guys, both prolly thought they were being slick and no one noticed.

There are certain places that it's more prone to happen by drunken merimakers, no harm meant, therefore it shouldn't be made an international incident, IMO.

The places I am speaking of where it's "OK"...ok being a VERY broad term, are not business/professional, G rated places. Generally there is other adult oriented behavior going on.
Skirted or kilted, I'd wear underwear at a concert. If I was a guy and kilted....not sure that I would, though. I'd prolly figure that any lass wanting to see what was under....well, wouldn't want to disappoint the ladies, now would ya?
Fits the definition in the Canadian Criminal Code to the best of my understanding.

And in the States, Padre. But it is only criminal if someone presses charges.

Out of all the guys who have been offended by a gal's advances, how many have filed criminal charges?

If you have, you have my apologies. If you haven't, then don't claim harassment.

You may be annoyed when it happens, but has anyone who claims to have been annoyed/offended actually filed charges? If not, then you have not been harassed. If it really pisses you off, you'd do something about it.

Just my not so humble opinion.

Except that filing charges can be an even more demeaning experience than the event itself, even today, and I suspect even more so today for a man than for a woman.

But this isn't what I "hit The Mark" to read or post about, so I'm going to get out and stay out of this thread.

Re: A story of Kilted Attention or: Why I can't go commando!

I have to admit, that while I don't like having my kilts hoisted (only happened twice) I have always it a bit odd that so many of us on X Marks openly revel in the attention we/I/us get when kilted, especially from the other gender. Yet, when that attention becomes more direct, we get up on our high horse.

    Hey, I've done it, too.

Yanking up a womans skirt is wrong and illegal, whether it happens all the time or not. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that it doesn't happen, just that it's wrong. What's wrong and illegal for the goose, is ditto for the gander. It's only fair.

A pat on the rumpus is not the same thing as a full-frontal kilt lift, BTW.

If a lass patted my kilted butt at work, she'd hear about it. If she did it again, she'd hear about it louder. If she did it again, her supervisor would hear about it. If it happened at church, she'd get a very loud and embarrassing lecture.

It never has happened, and I think, never will. Should this lass do a front kilt lift anywhere where there were witnesses, I'd make sure she was out of a job.

If a lass patted my kilted butt at a Games or at a Ren Faire, I'd smile and wink and be glad that at 54, someone still cared.

And that HAS happened (though not often) and so be it. Full-frontal kilt lift, unasked-for at a Games or Faire? I say, pop her one in the chops. That's what I'd do to a guy who did that, and I figure again...what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Re: A story of Kilted Attention or: Why I can't go commando!

Remember some people are just more "hands on" than others. And touching is and act of friendship. Just like some are huggers while others aren't. Flirting seems to take on a wide variety of forms.
I try to look for the intent more than the act.
Flirting - no harm no fowl - A please don't works well, If required.
If the intent is to embarrass or "show off to friends" they get the full riot act and end up with a redder face than mine.
