There is one imbedded in the pattern section of:
    http://www.nwta.com/

It looks like (the original is white with black writing-> MUCH better for printing):

it helps, but is a bit too shallow for my opinion.
I'd make it twice as long top to bottom.

I also wanted to ask, do sporran's have to be made out of leather? I was thinking about making one out of some of the left over cotton tartan from my kilt.

leather is best, as it holds form quite well. Cotton or other fabric tends to look like some kind of purse/bad hanging from your belt, unless you put some kind of stiffening agent into it so it retains shape.

The counter-clockwise haggis are only found in the southern hemisphere due to the Coriolis Effect.

Actually it is possible to find them in the northern hemisphere as well but only where there are low pressure weather systems .....

I don't know about the weather but it must be muggy as hell because it's getting thick in here.

Could snipe be subsituted for haggis?

The haggis in my area have been put on protected endanged species list.

Also try Charles Thompson's So You're Going to Wear the Kilt. The pattern is a little small for my taste and size. I have several books that show historical sporrans that show an amazing variety of style. A sporran is just a bag hung around your waist.

    No; they're for bait.

I've heard that the three tassles are made from the legs of a haggis, is it true that the Haggis Sporranis is naturally three-legged?
