The last thing I want is to have this thread locked due to my adversion to the senseless slaughter of the endangered and cuddly haggis everywhere. My problem is that I don't drink scotch!

I never said you had to be drinking the scotch...just have it around should the haggis wake up!

But check first to see if you have a clockwise or counter-clockwise haggis. If you wrap the tail in the wrong direction for the haggis you might not have the face to the front!

The counter-clockwise haggis are only found in the southern hemisphere due to the Coriolis Effect.

Actually it is possible to find them in the northern hemisphere as well but only where there are low pressure weather systems .....

Could snipe be subsituted for haggis?

The haggis in my area have been put on protected endanged species list.

Also try Charles Thompson's So You're Going to Wear the Kilt. The pattern is a little small for my taste and size. I have several books that show historical sporrans that show an amazing variety of style. A sporran is just a bag hung around your waist.
