The photo from Melrose is lovely! I've only been there a couple of times, but I think it's one of the nicest places in the Borders (IMO).

Unfortunately Mum wanted to get back to the hotel so did not have the chance to explore. It's on my list for my Goldwing trip though!

Well, next time you're in Melrose, you must visit the Abbey if you didn't get a chance to explore those magnificent ruins.
