Close enough! The Celtiberians lived there. I believe there is a Spanish kiltie on this forum too.
If the kilt makes you happy, wear it!

Welcome to Xmarks, and your English is fine. I know for a fact, it is much better than my few remembered phrases from my high school Spanish (45 years ago now).
"A day spent in the fields and woods, or on the water should not count as a day off our allotted number upon this earth."

Bienvenidos de Chicago. Entiendo el Espanol bien, pero, para mi, es dificil escribir.
You did a great job on the kilt. You will also find a lot of tips here for making kilts and kilt-related items.

It goes on until you have made a certain number of posts, then you can do it yourself. I think 10 is the number

I believe Mexico City had a pipe band that went by St Patrick Pipes and Drums. I do know they did exist. You are not alone down there with the kilt wearing. Besides Galacia, Spain is very Celtic, so your Spanish roots could very well be Celt. Look up the name Carlos Nunez some time. He plays the Giata/giada or bagpipes. He's really one of the best pipers I've ever heard. Cheers.
