It is indeed a fun addiction, I started with a Stillwater Thrifty and am up to 4 with 2 more on order (all within 4 months).
Hopefully my next order will include a Cameron.
Cheers,
Thriftys are great summer wear, and no doubt. Get yourself a nice heavyweight. Even the standards are great, but SWK heavyweights are exceptional for the price.

I got a heavyweight the first time, and I have to say, all my future kilts will be the same, it's perfect really, for winter or summer. In summer I can see how I can easily stay cool, and in the winter(right now of course) I can stand outside for hours without getting cold. But I certainly wouldn't want anything thinner, I like the "heavy" feel of it.
And as this is my third day of wearing it, I have to say, I may never wear pants again! My kilt is comfortable, stylish and convenient. I've had some smart remarks, and the usual good natured ribbing, but I've got a typical Danish sense of humor, so I don't mind. And the comments I get from many of my female coworkers certainly outweighs anything I get from the negative side of the spectrum.
I've now worn out the line, "If it was a skirt, I'd be wearing underwear."
I have to say, it makes every day a little more fun, despite the drabness of working in a call center.
"Lads, we're outnumbered, surrounded, and will all likely die tomorrow, but I have good news!"
"I just found a bunch of whiskey in the castle cellar!"

I haven't worn pants in months myself for those very reasons. I have one heavy weight, 2 standards, and one Amerikilt. The Amerikilt is way too cool to wear right now, but the SWKs are perfect.
