Suggesting that two kilts alone can take up the bulk of a 50 lb weight limit is ignoring other factors. Maybe, as Chef says, it's all the accompanying accoutrements!

Well, yes, it's all the other stuff I have to pack as well. I didn't mean that the two kilts themselves were taking all of the 50 lbs. But, 9 lbs is 9 lbs, and I have to exclude a lot of other items to accommodate what the kilts take. IOW, when I take 2 or 3 kilts, I have to pack 2 bags instead of one.
