Its nine thirty in the evening here so I am about to have my nightcap of decaffeinated coffee, made with half water and half semi-skimmed milk and no sugar.

Right now the only adult beverage in the house is a Christmas present from last year of Lauders scotch, so a scotch on the rocks.

In the spirit of keeping my job and paycheck, it's ice cold water from the culligan machine in the kitchen. I find it hard to write award winning radio advertisments when I'm half in the bag. But tonight when I get home, there's a "small keg" of Heinekin waiting while I fire up the BBQ and do up some cederplank grilled chicken breasts.

A bottle of homemade mead tonite. Someday I will make some that other people will like too. Still turns out a bit hot, but getting better.

I'm off today and may have lunch at the Sam Houston Steamboat Steakhouse. With my steak I usually have a tall Shiner Boch.

It's 8am here so I'm drinking my morning coffee before I'm off to deep clean the equipment at work. But...last night I closed my day with a bottle of Deschutes Brewery's Black Butte Porter followed with a bottle of the 2004 vintage of Big Sky Brewing's Olde Bluehair Barleywine.
