I very much doubt it. Any I have seen look to have been made from a piece of net curtain! I tried to get some Maltese lace when I was there earlier this year as it is (or used to be) made from Spanish silk, but couldn't get any suitable. It seems they no longer make it with Maltese crosses in the style of my jabot and from the sound of things the craft is dying out.
