I'm having a difficult time locating a photo image that will demonstrate what I mean, so I guess this practice is unique to this gentleman. Other replies confirm this.
I've seen what you are describing before; personally, I feel the old "rule" about only one lapel badge per jacket applies to bonnets/glengarries as well -- the cap badge is all you need, INMHO. Others may disagree and free to, of course.
