    Jock,
    Calm down now, a wee dram for the blood pressure. The original post did state that what we call "tacky" was the order of the day. This translates into outright pitiful in English. Considering the offenses that are usual to these events, and not able to be shown on our family friendly forum, he is really rather conservative. It is just these types of events that one demonstrates "what NOT to wear" ( a US telly programme ).

    Your great country has much to be proud about, of that there is no doubt, but I have to say, on occasion, you chaps do make one wonder what goes on over there!
