Goodness gracious poor Jock! What has the world come to with these young rapscallions running amok with their tartan flat caps and listening to Frank Sinatra! The disgrace! The shame! The horror! Perhaps that young hellion needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and decide where his priorities are!
Wait a minute! I think he might actually be seeing the error of his ways!
Yes indeed look at him
He is realizing that a tweed hat would be better
He puts his tartan flat cap back on its hook
and he reaches for ...
...That favorite tweed bucket hat of his that he knows Jock Scot loves so well!

Cheers

Oh dear Jamie what are you doing to me? Actually the infamous "bucket hat" will be just fine with the plus 4's, but if you really want to do the job well , then dig out that deer stalker.

Great photo, Jamie. Back in the late 60's. we could rent a twin bicycle from the bike shop on The Alameda across from Hester Elementary School for $0.75 per hour. Nothing like taking your lady for a leisurely ride around town (of course San Jose is different now.)

Breathe Jock, Breathe, it's only a hat. Sometimes a hat is just a hat...

Sadly, there is not a bicycle shop on the Alameda anymore, and you're right, San Jose is different. I noticed a sign on Race Street today for Slough's, which may have been the shop on the Alameda in the '70's; I think they are all gone except for that poor sign.

I just want to note, for posterity, that Jock Scot has actually put in writing, that the bucket hat will be just fine with him!
Be well,
Star
P.S. The plus fours would have taken less time to alter, if I hadn't allowed my darling husband to try it himself first!

Jamie - there was an Easter Egg in my original post - try clicking your antiqued picture.
By the way, that aging was done at the lab of photofunia.com, where you can have all sorts of fun seeing yourself and your loved ones in new (or old) ways.

My dear lady, I fancy that there is a spot of selective quotation going on, that is not quite what I said. Is it?

First, you look smashing Jamie (aside from that tartan flat cap). Please, buy a tweed cap.
Secondly, and especially now that Rex has shown a mock-up photo of himself in an old book, I enjoyed the irony of him saying Jamie had lost himself in time (given the great mustache and beard Rex sports from a time almost forgotten).
